The Apple Corps (aka Charlie Apple's Original Apple Corpsİ) was founded in 1966 and is a club made up primarily of listeners and former listeners to the Charlie Apple Show in its various incarnations during the past 40+ years in the Tri-State Area of Pittsburgh.

It is the Organization Dedicated to the Preservation of Original
Rock and Rollİ and is open to anyone who is interested in real oldies (aka
Pittsburgh-style oldies) that run the gamut from down home blues (e.g.
Howling Wolf) to jump blues (e.g. Wynonie Harris) to early vocal group
harmony (e.g. The Ravens) to "doo-wop" (e.g. The Drifters, Vito and the
Salutations) to early soul (e.g. The Fiestas, The Van Dykes) to middle
soul (e.g. early Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett) with some Rock-a-Billy
and a cappella thrown in for good measure.
