Review: The Orlons
Well- If you were unable to make it to the Orlons show- you missed a great show- you should buy a DVD for your collection! Admittingly, a little different and up beat for the Porcc Club, but so entertaining. High energy, Toe tapping, Hand Clapping to such songs as “WahWaaWatussie”, “South Street”, “Don’t Hang up”, plus great ballads, “Heart Darling Angel”, “Mr. 21” and many great covers. Why did we wait so long? Isn’t that right Chuck?!!! Thank You Orlons!!

It is with a great deal of Sadness
Ronnie Italiano (Ronnie I) – Passed away after a long and brave battle with cancer on Monday March 3rd, 2008. Ronnie was heard for years playing his music on WHBI and WNWK. He is primarily known for being the founder and president of the United in Group Harmony Association, which for the last 32 years was dedicated to the promotion and preservation of group harmony R&B. He also owned Clifton Music, in New Jersey, one of the nation’s premier outlets for this music. He graced the Porcc Stage many of times to introduce Doo Wop groups that performed. He will be sadly missed
Conneaut Lake – Dreamland Ballroom
The historic 99year old Dreamland Ballroom & 7 adjacent Midway buildings were destroyed in a blaze on February 1st 2008. The Ballroom had a 20,000 sq. ft. dance floor that was built in 1909. A great loss to all that made Conneaut Lake Park a part of their lives, from adults to children, first loves and those inexpensive vacations with family. The Ballroom hosted many events, dances, concerts and more. Perry Como performed there in his career & its nightly summertime dances were a part of many courtships.
In the aftermath the only thing that wasn’t destroyed are the memories we made.
